Constitutional Convention assignment

Go to the following website based on the constitutional convention. You will need to pick either the Virginia Plan, New Jersey Plan, Great Compromise, Three-fifths compromise and answer the following questions about it.
1. Who came up with the idea?
2. What specifically did it accomplish?
3. Is it currently involved in our constitution or in the governent in some way?

2. It gave 3 out of 5 slaves pay the total tax and also with representation

2. It made it so that there were two legislative branches that represented the people. It also kept the representitives an even number at each state.

2. It balanced out the delegates in the legislative branch by having delegates in the lower house varied by their state's population, and states in the higher house having 2 delegates each.
3. Yes, because it is the system we use today.

The Virginia Plan
1. James Madison
2. It created a proportional 2 house legislature. Citizens elected the people for the lower house. The upper house was elected by the lower house.
3. Yes, this is pretty much how our government is formed today.

i think that history is important becouse like it said in the article it protects us from are future, history also shows us how things were devoleped like different spieces from anchient fossils and it also allows us not to make the same mistakes twice
