3.They were unemployed, had little amount of money, poor homes, and not much food.
4. If i were in the great depression i would say something like this. The great depression was one of the greatest hardships me and my family have ever gone through and probably ever will. We rarely had food on the table, and if we did it was usually scraps, unless we were lucky and Dad had been paid extra. We also lived in very poor homes. Our homes were poorly venalated, dirty, small and cramped, the most u had in one house was a bed, bathroom and small kitchen. Not to mention, it wasnt very often u could take a shower, so everyone smelled pretty bad. But only those who were fortunate enough had a home. Even the riches had very little and were very close to where we were in money...none. Out in the streets was worse. Robberies, fights and killings were everywhere. People living on the streets usually tried to take what u had. It was not a safe place. Farmers sold little crops, causing them to have to get rid of there homes, animals, and belongings. So to put it simply, it was a horrible time.
1. New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, 2.When the drought and dust storms showed no signs of letting up, many people abandoned their land. 3.Most lost their jobs and went up employed. 4.During the depression thousands of people lost their jobs because they were no longer needed. Thousands of farmers had to move away from their land because there was a major drought. Almost all the farm land dried up and no longer could be used to grow crops and provide people with food and other things they needed.People weren't able to pay their bills so they were forced out of their homes. Businesses started opening free food stores for the people who no longer could provide their families with food. The working men who were upemployed still dresses up in their suits just to go to the store.
